Brooks’ World Travels is a program begun by Marshfield High School in memory of Brooks Thomsen Singer. It is now a program under The Mohonk Educational and Neuropsychological Foundation, Inc. The mission of Brooks’ World Travels is to continue the memory of Brooks Thomsen Singer by providing an opportunity for students to travel overseas and have meaningful interactions with peers and people from other cultures, as Brooks did. The mission is focused on having students come to recognize that the entire world and all of its cultures will be increasingly part of their lives and that despite all of the differences, all of us, still, are so much more the same than different, as Brooks did.

Troop 424 is an all-female Scouts BSA Troop welcoming girls ages 11-17 from Marshfield and across the South Shore. We meet Mondays (except for holidays) from 7:15pm-8:30pm. With a focus on service, citizenship, leadership, and outdoor adventure, our Scouts are very active throughout our community and beyond.

Sanctuary is a local congregation in Marshfield that organizes service trips for youth and adults throughout the year, as well as local service projects through their Neighbor to Neighbor initiaive. The yearly tree sales have supported everything from sending teams to build clean burning stoves in rural Guatemala to Christmas gifts for local seniors. This year indidivuals are participating in service trips to Boston, Virginia and Guatemala in addition to many local projects you can learn more about using the link below.
