Every Sunday

Childcare

The childcare room is open every Sunday at 10:10am during worship. Sanctuary’s childcare staff is ready to welcome our youngest children when they need some extra wiggle room. Parents of little ones, enjoy a cup of coffee and a moment of rest!

KidsTime

Pre-k - 5th

KidsTime is Sanctuary's Sunday morning program for kids through elementary school. Centered in the mission we share to love God and love others, we learn about Jesus, get to know one another and have fun. Families begin worship together and then kids are invited to KidsTime during the sermon. Kids rejoin their families before communion. No sign up necessary, just check in when you come on Sunday morning!

Parents, you are welcome to do what works for your family, whether that's accompanying your child to KidsTime, having your kids stick with you in worship, or sending them along with all the kids.

KidsTime Student Leaders

6th-8th graders

Middle school students are welcome to come to KidsTime as role models for our younger kids. They participate in a brief training and assist each week in a variety of small ways. As role models, they continue to learn alongside the younger kids and help to make KidsTime a comfortable and friendly experience.

Faith Formation

Communion Class

2nd and 3rd graders

We welcome everyone to share in this special meal every week during worship, a physical sign of God's love and presence with us. At Communion Class each spring, we learn about the significance and meaning we take part in through this sacrament. We learn together at Sanctuary, bake bread at home, and share the story of the Last Supper during worship on Palm Sunday. After participating in Communion Class, we welcome kids to help serve communion in worship, a special way to be part of the faith community.

Affirm

10th grade

During the teenage years, many faith traditions focus on “confirmation” learning. Affirm is our version of that. A meaningful faith grows through a multitude of activities, relationships and experiences, and so students are encouraged to participate in the faith community in multiple ways. Affirm is about modeling conversations and thought processes we hope students carry with them into adulthood.

We anchor Affirm in discussion series’ focused on the promises we say together in baptism. We learn about the stories and practices that affirm and encourage us in who we are as people of God and encourage one another to think about why that matters. Each series is 3 weeks long, and most frequently happens during youth group at scheduled times throughout the year. Everyone is invited to participate in these discussions beginning in 7th grade.

Along with participating in Affirm discussions, students have additional opportunities to engage their faith through worship, service and reflection.

In 10th grade, we help students pull it all together. Students who have participated in three Affirm discussion series’, service projects or trips, and worship are affirmed and encouraged in a special worship celebration with the Sanctuary community.

Youth

456 Youth

4th, 5th and 6th graders

Especially for tweens, 456 meets intermittently throughout the year. 456 focuses on friendship, caring for one another and community.

Youth Group

7th-12th

Youth group is the space we create especially for teenagers! Every week we share in a time of centering, a meal and an activity, all to support teens in their relationship with one another and God. There’s a wide age-range of students who participate in youth group, and so we most often spend part of the night as middle or high schoolers in smaller circles with peers. Youth Group is a break from the pressures of school and the busyness of activities, and a time to be reminded that we’re cared for in community. And it’s fun! Students are welcome anytime.
