End Hunger New England, the New England chapter of Outreach, Inc. based in Pembroke, MA has been operational since 2010 and is solely focused on feeding those who hunger in our neighborhoods. The program raises funding from various sources and volunteers pack 10 different meal types for the food insecure among us. Today they support 624 food pantries, homeless shelters, school weekend backpack and like programs throughout New England. The Sanctuary community has funded over 50 events and packaged over 2,000,000 meals for those who hunger locally.
This program works to ensure the enrollment, attendance and the opportunity to succeed in school for homeless children and youth. This program collaborates with other state agencies and community providers to support homeless families and their students.
The School District of Marshfield strives to remove barriers to education and graduation and assists families and youth to meet basic needs. At the end of the 2025 school year, there were 86 homeless students, 14 of which were in foster care.

The Marshfield Food Pantry has been part of the community for 40 years. Its sole mission is to reduce the risk of hunger in our town. Sanctuary provides food for the pantry from time to time through food collections.
Since 1995, Sowing Seeds of Marshfield has answered over 12,000 local calls for help. While most known for their clothing bank, Sowing Seeds also assists with bill payments and transportation to medical appointments. Sanctuary regularly collects items for Sowing Seeds as needs arise.
Carolina Hill provides temporary housing, supportive services and a welcoming haven to families experiencing homelessness. The facility and property can accommodate up to 17 families and caters primarily to woman and young children. Sanctuary supports the shelter in a variety of ways: most recently by building and donating garden beds, Christmas caroling, and helping with an Easter egg hunt.
The Marshfield Council on Aging, through its Senior Center, provides a central mechanism for the delivery of services and activities to Marshfield’s elder population. Sanctuary’s conducts a yearly Christmas Collection for seniors as well as helping with other projects as needs arise.
An affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, South Shore Habitat shares its vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. South Shore Habitat has worked alongside family partners and thousands of volunteers to build 65 affordable homes in 22 communities for 119 adults and 219 children. Sanctuary teams have worked on various projects on the South Shore over the last 15 years.
We are looking forward to participating and serving with CityReach again this year. Together we learn about homelessness from people who have experienced it and offer hospitality, food and clothing during a morning open house at Cathedral Church in Boston.
This trip is designed for students 8th-12th grade, but adults are also welcome and encouraged to participate.
